The Gardeners' Association organises the Balcombe Spring Show in March/April and the Autumn Flower Show in September. There is a Plant Sale/ Coffee Morning in May and an AGM in February. The group undertakes planting schemes around the village and mans various plant sales at events. There is an annual coach trip to RHS gardens, Wisley. A Year Book is published in the Autumn with show schedules and a diary of events. The association enjoys discounts with Dobies on seeds and other plants and equipment and a group order is placed in December each year.
New members are always welcome.

Planting Guerillas
A planting scheme is currently underway around the village and a renovation project being undertaken on the Station gardens. No doubt most villagers will have seen the colourful planters now dotted around the Village and the station platforms, still a work in progress but a welcome improvement after the years of neglect. We really hope to get the planting established this year and the station looking proud. This friendly group meets at weekends for a just an hour or two. A further task this year will be to tackle the WAR GRAVES in the Church yard which are also sadly neglected. Any help is welcome even if you can only come occasionally. Anyone interested in joining the working party should contact
Rob McIntyre on 01444 811732 or at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
