Balcombe Village MarketGlenda Thomson runs fairs for the sale of crafts, gifts and local produce. For example, Cuckfield Fair, Uckfield, Chellwood Gate, schools, Women's Institute, Plumpton Agricultural College (farmer's market), Ashdown fete. She is now planning a regular village market on Saturday mornings in the Victory Hall. Stalls will be available for hire for £18. One stall will be provided free for a charity. Thanks to Starbucks at Haywards Heath for their donation of the hamper raffle prize; they will continue to support the charities at the market. 21st June 2008 Laines provided a stall for organic vegetables and strawberries. £144 was raised for the RNLI 30th August 2008 £131.35 was raised for the charity Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy.
