NEWSLETTER SPRING TERM 2005

Welcome to all our new children and their parents, from everyone at Tiggers. We hope that you will all enjoy the fun of learning at Tiggers with our great team of staff and volunteer committee. Tiggers is an integral part of the village community of Balcombe and even if you do not live in the village parents and children can benefit enormously from the events and facilities that Balcombe has to offer.

This weekend we are holding our Spring Fundraiser and we would love to see all the children and parents getting together at this social event. There will be food - so no need to worry about lunch - and entertainment for all the children. Please come and support the playgroup. The funds raised this spring will enable us to buy more ‘exotic’ equipment for the playgroup, for example a digital camera for the children and the staff to use. One use for a digital camera is recording our Play, which is great for the children…and also an important part of demonstrating to Ofsted what activities we carry out as part of the Foundation Stage.

Please come to our Spring Fundraiser this Saturday 26^th February 11.30-2.00pm at the Parish Rooms.

Cakes, Tombola and Raffle, Flower pots painting and planting, Gunky Dip, Treasure Trail and Name that Rabbit

At the fundraiser we will also be canvassing for opinions about a sensory and interactive outside play environment (to the right of the Parish room behind the fence). It is very important for all the children and parents to have their input into the new outside play area, as well as the staff and committee. Come and see the ideas boards and choose your favourite items. All other suggestions welcome.

Nature Trail

For the Nature trail walks on Tuesday 1^st and Thursday 3^rd March parents will be needed to accompany their children. Please sign the consent form and talk to Tracy about the timings of the walks and whether you are available to accompany your child.

Lastly at the end of each Newsletter we highlight a Tiggers Policy and Procedure. This term it is our Health, Safety and Hygiene Policy and Practice.
