eally, it is. And by joining Balcombe Tennis

Club you will have access to the lowest costing

tennis facilities in all of Sussex.

Balcombe Tennis Club welcomes players of all

abilities, especially those who have never

played before and would like to learn the

game. Here’s how to start from scratch:

hilderns’ coaching sessions are regularly

held on Monday afternoons, and private and

group coaching sessions are held on

Thursdays. Our coach is Marcus Aldworth

from Advantage Receiver. More details about

this on Page 2.

Try some new Gear?

M

arcus can advise on the purchase of new

gear and also has a great selection of racquets

available for you to test out.

What do I get for my

membership?

A

s a member of the Club, you are entitled to

play on the courts year-round (weather

permitting) at no further cost.

The Club also hosts a number of annual

social events.

Balcombe Tennis Club is a member of the

Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) which

allocates a number of tickets to Wimbledon to

us. These tickets are drawn fro m a hat to a few

lucky club members every year.

How do I book a court?

Y

ou can only book a court when you have

arranged personal training with the coach on

a Thursday. The bookings on those days are

managed b y Advantage Receiver. Non-

members who pay the public playing session

fees for Monday evening, Tuesday and

Saturday afternoons have right-of-play. This is

explained in more detail in the Regulations.

Please remember that demand for courts is at

its greatest during weekends and during

summer school holidays.

Courts again?

he tennis courts are on the corner of

Oldlands and Haywards Heath Road in

Balcombe.

See you there!

This will be held at Balcombe Tennis Club

on Sunday 17

th

April 2005, 2 pm to 5 pm.

Please bring your completed subscription

form (attached), fees to the Club. If you are

a new member, come and meet the other

club members and the committee, and

familiarise yourself with the facilities.

Alternatively you may contact Neil the

Membership secretary, or enrol by post (see

attached subscription form for details).

We hope that there will be a chance to play

some tennis on the Enrolment Days, so

bring your tennis kit along.
