If you want to upload your own digital photos, you need to register a user name.

Click Register on the menu at the top of the gallery.

Fill in the details.

You will be sent an activation email.

 

To display your images in the photo gallery

Use your digital camera to take new photos.

Resize and convert existing photos if necessary (see below).

Scan photos and other images and output them as JPEG files.

Upload your photos (see below).

If all this is too difficult, deliver the pictures to 4 Stumblemead and I'll scan them for you.

How to upload your images

Pictures should be in JPEG format (see below).

They should have a width of 1024 pixels or less. (see below).

Rename each image with a descriptive title, e.g. Mark wins the race.

Click on Upload File in the gallery menu and follow the intructions.

You can add a description of the photo, e.g. for the image "Mark wins the race.jpg" you could write "Mark Senior wins the 2003 Balcombe 100m sprint for 12 year olds."

 

How to resize and convert your images

If you do not know how to modify your pictures, download the excellent image and video viewer Irfanview from here. It's free.

Open the image you wish to resize.

Click the Image menu at the top of the screen and choose Resize/Resample.

Enter width 1024 under the New Size heading.

Click OK.

IMPORTANT: Save your resized image with a NEW name. Make sure this is a descriptive name, e.g. View from the cricket ground. Make sure you save it as a JPEG file (Click Save As, then choose JPG-JPEG from the Save As Type drop down menu).

Email the files to the if you don't want to upload them yourself.
