2011.      To consideration the following Planning Applications: -

For Representation by 4th May 2007

a). BA/07/00732/FUL – 7 Meadow Close – proposed two storey side extension with new access & two additional parking spaces

Although the proposed extension is large, the extension has been skilfully designed and will fit well into the street scene.  We need to remind MSDC to satisfy themselves that the new off street parking results in no loss of existing communal spaces.  We understand that Downland Housing is offering space in part of no 6’s front garden as parking.  This arrangement needs to be regularised.  Otherwise no objections.

b). BA/07/00760/FUL – Wakefield House, Haywards Heath Road – rear extension & loft conversion.

The ground floor extension is large but has been nicely detailed and is not excessively large when taken in context with the garaging and sheds at the 2 neighbouring properties.  The small first floor extension has, again, been well designed and will not result in a significantly increased feeling of overbearing for the neighbouring house.

As this application is very similar to that recently received for another property in Mill Lane and we must raise a similar concern again regarding the roof enlargement and raising of the ridge point in a lopsided way. It and could mean that the adjoining property is disadvantaged.  Otherwise we have no objections to the application.

c). Any other applications received prior to the meeting

For Representation by 11th May 2007

BA/07/00674/FUL – Honeychurch, Stockcroft Road - single storey rear extension.  We have no objections to the application

The above is a summary of the discussions at the Parish Council meeting.  The full response  to MSDC is available from the Clerk.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 21.28 hours.
