MINUTES OF A PLANNING MEETING OF BALCOMBE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON WEDNESDAY 11TH JULY 2007 AT 7.30 PM IN THE UNITED REFORMED CHURCH, BRAMBLE HILL, BALCOMBE

           

Present:  Messrs. Robin Williamson, Robin Lindsay-Stewart & Mrs Alison Stevenson

No members of the public were present.

No declarations made. 

 

2045. Apologies for absence

Received from Simon Greenwood, Rodney Saunders, Susan Barker-Danby & Neville Ashcroft (12.07.07). 

Not present Gary Marsh, Richard Turner & Mesdames. Sarah Moore-Williams & Carol Jarvest. 

 

2047. To consideration the following Planning Applications

 

a). For Representation by 6th July 2007 (extended by agreement to 13th July)

i). BA/07/01628/TCA - Delamere & Woodpecker Mount, Stockcroft Road.  Trim back canopies of 1 Sycamore & 5 Purple Plums (Delamere) & 1 Sycamore (Woodpecker Mount) on northern side by 1-2m.  No objection. 

 

b). For Representation by 13th July 2007

ii). BA/07/01648/COU - Land adjacent 1 Deanland Road – proposed conversion of pitched roof garage to living accommodation. 

Councillors confirmed that the comments given in respect of refused application BA/07/00212/COU should equally apply to this application & again strongly recommend that the application should be refused. 

 

The above is a summary of the discussions at the Parish Council meeting.  A copy of the full response to MSDC is available from the Clerk. 

 

iii). BA/07/01714/FUL – The Coach House, Crawley Lane – detached single storey garage.  There was no objection to the application.  However Councillors recommended that the garage should be sited significantly far from the hedge bordering on to Highly Manor to maintain the already adequate screening to the boundary.  Also that a condition of granting permission should include a proviso that the garage is not permitted to be converted into any form of living accommodation. 

 


 

 

iv). BA/07/01720/TCA – Hill Pasture, Oldlands Avenue – Ash – remove lowest branch on southern side.  Oak – remove two lowest branches on southern side.  Prunus – lift canopy to 3 metres above ground.  Pine – remove two lowest branches on southern side.  No Objection. 

 

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at 19.55 hours.
