1453   Apologies for absence

Mrs Sheila Illsley & Messrs Gary Marsh, Robin Williamson, Roland Burke & Simon Greenwood

1454   Consideration of the following Planning Applications

a)         BA/05/00345/FUL - 7 Oldlands Avenue – two storey side & rear extension

b)         BA/05/00349/FUL - 8 Oldlands Avenue – two storey side & rear extension.  As adjoining houses applications considered collectively.  In principle no objections to the proposals.  The rear extensions are larger than the single storey “footprint” of the houses, which may mean they have an overbearing effect on the neighbouring houses & the views of the neighbours should be heard.  However the house to the west has already had a similar extension.  It was however considered a disadvantage that the proposals for the front face of no 7 doesn’t match no 8.

c)         BA/05/00351/FUL - Tranquillity, Deanland Road – single storey side extension to existing bungalow.  There were some concerns that the proposed extensions will come close to the plot boundaries & in particular the garage is almost on the boundary with Honeywood House.  It was however felt that the design was not only in keeping with the property but may well enhance it.  The plot is large enough to accommodate the extensions & it was agreed that we should raise concern only about proximity to the boundaries.

d)         BA/05/00364/FUL - Lodgelands, Crawley Lane - new roof over existing storerooms.  There were no objections to the proposal.  However although higher than the existing the proposed roof will be masked by the carport in front of the storerooms.

e)         BA/05/00378 - 1 Meadow Close – conversion of existing conservatory to kitchen with flat rood over.  Additional window to living room.  This is a renewed application now incorporating a flat, as opposed to the originally requested pitched, roof.  No objections.

1455   To consider any other applications received by this date

For representation by 8 April 2005

BA/05/00491/TREE – Pemby, Oldlands Avenue – Lime (T15):  Thin canopy by approx. 40% by removing poorer stems.  Agreed delegate to Environment Planning Group for report to meeting on 22 March 2005.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 20.45 hours.
