Sirs

B2110 High Street and Handcross Road)
Carriageway Surfacing Works
We
are employed as consultants to West Sussex County Council and have been asked
to inform you that highway works are programmed to commence on Monday 6
November and will take approximately 2 weeks to complete.
The work is between the junction with the B2110 High
Street southwards to the junction with Handcross Road (approximately 2100 metres).
The road will be closed between 9.30am and 4.30pm for the safety of the
workforce and motorists. Access will be available for local traffic only,
through traffic will follow a signed diversionary route. Southbound traffic
will be diverted
via the B2110 to Handcross and then the B2114 through Staplefield to rejoining
the B2036 at Whitemans Green. Northbound
traffic will be diverted along the same route in the opposite direction.
The scheme is being carried out by the new West Sussex Highways Alliance
consisting of the County Council, its highways consultants, Owen Williams, and
service provider, May Gurney.
Any
queries regarding the works should be directed to our Chichester office on
