Gardeners' Association

The Gardeners' Association organises the Balcombe Spring Show in March and the Autumn Flower Show in September. There is a coffee morning and an AGM. Other activities include coach trips, e.g. to RHS gardens, Wisley.

 

Discount gardening supplies are available at the Hut, situated on Oldlands opposite ?. It is open on Sundays from early March until the last Sunday in September, but is closed during July and August.

 

Deliveries of manure can be arranged at a 10% discount for members.

 

New members are always welcome.

A regular article in the Parish Magazine includes current events.

Membership

£10 life membership, £2 for senior citizens

 

The Association

The Association comprises Mr J.R.Greenwood (President), Mr R.M.Borthwick (Chairman), Mrs J.Broome (Vice Chairman), Mrs P.Garman (Hon Secretary), Mr A.Tickell (Hon Treasurer), Mrs B.M.Chatt (Show Secretary).

 

The Committee

The Committee comprises Mrs J.Bardwell, Mr R.E.Bliss, Mr V.A.Gander, Mr. P.Murray.

 

Further Information

Several events are arranged each year to raise funds for charities, e.g. tea on a Saturday afternoon.

If your club or organisation requires flower arranging, please contact the chairperson. A small fee may be charged, which usually goes to charity.
