Fuel Theft in Stockcroft Road (May 2008)

Police have reported three incidents of petrol and diesel being stolen from vehicles in Stockcroft Road, Balcombe.

In one case a fuel line was cut on a car parked in the car park of Merrow House; in another the petrol cap was forced and fuel stolen from a car parked in the Social Club car park and a fuel tank was punctured and fuel removed from a car parked on a private driveway.

Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity between April 19 and April 26 should contact Balcombe Police Community Support Officer Jayne Milne on 0845 60 70 999 ext 21901 or jayne.milne@sussex.pnn.police.uk.

All Balcombe residents should be on the lookout for any person or people acting suspiciously in any respect and especially if they appear to be tampering with cars or other vehicles.
