Balcombe Parish Plan Action Group

The steering committee held its sixth monthly meeting on 31st October and is due to meet again on 28th November.

31 volunteers collected questionnaires from 66.3% of households, with a higher response rate from the centre of the village.

The tick box data was captured electronically. Percentage responses were calculated and sent to team leaders to aid their analysis.

It was decided that each team would decide how to analyse its own data; however, concern was expressed over the lack of consistency.

The 750 questionnaires were divided into 5 bundles for anlaysis of the text boxes; these will be rotated between the team leaders. Text box responses will be entered into a spreadsheet, which should be complete by the next meeting.

26 Young Person's Questionnaires were collected and will be analysed in time for the next meeting.

School progress has been slow, although some competition artwork has been received; the deadline is 21st November.

24 questionnaires have been completed by local organisations and will be reported on at the next meeting.

Each team will produce a report on their combined text box responses and tick box responses by the next meeting, including suggestions for Actions.

Volunteers are being sought to design the final Plan. Each household will receive a free copy.

Concern was felt about the lack of time for analysis; however, members will still aim for a completion data of February. There will be a launch event on a late Saturday in February.
