Balcombe Parish Plan Action Group

The steering committee held its fifth monthly meeting on 26th September and is due to meet again on 31st October.

32 volunteers were found to collect the questionnaires. They found this to be a more difficult exercise than originally anticipated.

The collected questionnaires will be scanned and distributed to members. A professional company will analyse the tick box responses. BPPAG members will sort through and analyse the free responses.

The Young Person's Questionnaire is being distributed and will be advertised in a variety of ways.

The visit to Balcombe Primary School was overwhelmingly positive. Competition details were given to the children, and prizes arranged. Some older residents will be approached to talk to the pupils about Balcombe in the past.

The Parish Plan covers designed by Michael Noble were met with approval.

The letter to local organisations was improved and more organisations added to the distribution list.

The work of producing the Parish Plan is on schedule; publication date of the final Plan remains February 2007.
